KUKA India marks its 20th year
of operations by inaugurating
a new office and customer
experience centre in Bengaluru. As India
emerges as a key market for electronic
mobile manufacturing, KUKA India has
strategically focused on the electronics
industry by establishing a Centre of
Excellence cum customer experience
and training centre. This initiative
aims to address the growing need for
skilled resources in robot operation, cell
construction, on-site customer service
management, and related services.
In collaboration with PES University,
a renowned engineering college &
University, KUKA India aims to produce
skilled and trained robotic professionals
for the automation and robotics industry.
The Centre was inaugurated on April
16, 2025, by Mr. Reinhold Gross,
CEO of KUKA Robotics Augsburg,
Germany and Mr. Pratik Kumar, CEO
of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering.
Other distinguished guests included

Fam (Regional CEO, KUKA Robotics
APeC), Mr. Rakesh Saini (VP Production
Engineering, Skoda), Mr. Arul Moses

The ARC Centre, established with
support from PES University, serves
as a hub for interdisciplinary learning,
innovation, and industry collaboration.
It equips industry professionals and
students with practical skills in robotics integration, industrial automation, and
system-level design, preparing them for
emerging roles in Industry 4.0.

Mr. Reinhold Gross, CEO of KUKA
Robotics India, along with KUKA’s
leadership team members Mr. Neo
Sinjoo, Mr. Vikas Swami, Mr. Lim
Boon Hooi, Mr. Chris Tan, and Ms.
Rina Lim from the APeC Region,
Malaysia, attended the event. Mr. Gross
emphasized KUKA’s belief in academia
industry partnerships to build the
next generation of automation leaders
and reaffirmed KUKA’s commitment
to supporting skills-based learning in
Indian universities. He also highlighted
how KUKA values can guide young
generations in the VUCA world.

In his presidential remarks, Prof. Jawahar Doreswamy, Chancellor of
PES University, stated that ARC is a
significant step towards integrating
industry-grade technologies to enhance
student learning experiences. He
emphasized the university’s mission to
produce graduates with sound academics
and hands-on experience, making them
industry ready.

Mr. Pratik Kumar, CEO of Wipro
Infrastructure Engineering and
Chief Guest, highlighted the growing
demand for skilled engineers in core
manufacturing and automation sectors.
He praised KUKA & PESU for proactively
building platforms like ARC that bring
together academia, industry, and
innovation.

Mr. Alan Fam, Regional CEO of
KUKA Robotics APeC, emphasized the
importance of the Indian market and
KUKA’s plans to grow with innovative
and cost-competitive products. He
shared KUKA’s vision of creating
infrastructure by adding a Centre of
Excellence in Chennai, Bengaluru,
and Ahmedabad, bringing customer
experience and services closer. KUKA has also added quality engineers in the South
Region, now having a 75-member team to
support customer closeness.

On this special occasion, an MOU for
hiring resources from PES University,
trained by KUKA Robotics, was signed
by Mr. Anil Kumar Satapathy, CTO of
DiFACTO Robotics & Automation. Other

A fireside chat with an industry
academia panel was conducted, featuring
experts like Ramesh V (Head of Skilling

Harshal Nahar (MD, Laxmi Group), Dr.
Dhana Radhakrishnan (Senior VP, HCL
Technologies), Dr. Suresh Sundaram

panel was moderated by Prof. Nagarjuna
Sadineni, Pro Vice Chancellor of PES
University. They discussed future
automation trends and the need for
