Mr. R. Srinivasan

Mr. R. Srinivasan, a Mechanical Engineer & MBA from Delhi University. He is a qualified International Welding Engineer (IWE) of the International Institute of Welding and has been awarded the Distinction of Fellow of the Indian Institute of Welding (IIW) as FELLOW in Welding. He is presently the Director of a company engaged in Welding Consultancy services in Navi Mumbai. He is the first batch of International Welding Engineers IWE qualified as per the Guidelines of the International Institute of welding in India in the year 2008.

He is currently the member of the Board of Director of the International Institute of Welding as Vice President and the Past President of The Indian Institute of Welding.  He is appointed as a member of the Technical Management Board (TMB) of the International Institute of welding. As a part of the TMB he is involved in reviewing the various technical papers presented by eminent welding personalities of the Welding community in various Welding assemblies and conferences and recommends for the acceptance of the same for publication as welding document and standards. He is presently the chairman of IIW India Foundation set up by IIW India for the research activities and promotion of young Engineers in the welding science in  India.

His Organization offers services for total Welding Consultancy, Welding Audits and trains the personnel to meet the requirements of various Welding codes certification, U-stamp Quality Manual Preparation, implementation and training. He also undertakes various quality related training of the shop floor personnel as per various codes, by designing customized training programs as needed by specific industries. He is presently associated with over 15 companies as Responsible Welding co Ordinator RWC as per ISO 14731 requirements for ISO 3834, ISO 1090 certification, ISO15085 ISO 13445, AD Merkblett 2000, and PED certification& requirements as per the European Union Welding norms. He is involved in this activity of supporting the Industries since the year 2008. He prepares the Industries to meet the technical requirement of these codes which are newly introduced in the country and participates in The Certification Audit.

He has an excellent knowledge to guide practicing welding engineers to develop a beneficial understanding of welding technology employed in fabrication and materiel Joining  He has guided number of Industries by establishing for proper welding techniques for optimizing the quality and production needs. He is a member of the training faculty for the International Welding Engineer qualification program and a visiting faculty to few of the Engineering colleges in Mumbai. 

Mr. Srinivasan is a professional trainer and has so far imparted knowledge on welding and its application to over 1200 practicing engineers in India. He has trained and certified over 1500 Welders in the country as per various practicing welding codes.

Presently Mr. R. Srinivasan is a life member of the ISNT, ASM India . He is the recipient of the prestigious Dr G.L. Goswami memorial award  in the year 2020. He was awarded the Minathi Bhattacharya award   in 2009 for his contribution to the growth of  IIW . A FELLOW in Welding and has been awarded the Prestigious  “Golden Jubilee Welding Ratna Award” by The Welding Institute of the country in 2016. He is also awarded as the Best solution provider by Ashok Leyland for the welding requirements for their works and to their Ancillary Industries. He has been awarded “The Welding Excellence Award in the year 2022” by The WELDFAB TECH Times for his contribution to the welding industries for the last 40 years. He was awarded The Life Excellence award by IIW during the International Welding Congress in Jan 2024 for his outstanding contribution to the welding Institute and to the Industries

He has authored 15 technical papers & Case studies presented in various National and International Welding Seminars and Conventions. Presently, he represents India & SAARC countries in the International Welding Institute as Vice President. He is involved in developing the welding activity in SAARC countries and leads the National Delegation to the Annual welding Assemblies of the International Welding Institute.
