Oregon High School (OHS) has unveiled its new welding lab during July 2017. The new lab is built for efficiency, safety, and group learning. The OHS has upgraded 10 welding booths along the north and east walls, and included a metal mill, metal lathe, and plasma cutting stations in the middle of the room. The welding booths are designed with a Clean Air America’s Low Energy Air Filtration Weld Station models. The booths will use 80 percent less energy than other welding booth. The lab  shall also feature five Reality works Guide weld virtual reality welding simulators, which  can connect to any Macintosh or Windows computer and are effective for teaching metal inert gas (MIG) welding as well as shielded metal arc welding – also known as stick welding.
